TradePending is now Protomiq. Here’s what that means for your dealership.
Same company. Same team. Same tools on your website. A new name, and a few careful changes behind the scenes.
In April 2026, TradePending became Protomiq. Your portal and our Trade, Payments and Offer tools already carry the new name. Over the next few months, it reaches the rest of what you see from us, and the lead emails your CRM receives. Most of that wraps up in December.
For most dealers, there’s nothing to do. Below, we cover why we changed our name, what’s changing, what isn’t, and how we’re handling the parts that touch your leads.
Why we changed our name
TradePending started with one experience: helping shoppers value their trade on your website. The name fit that well. It never fit everything that came after.
Today we run a set of digital experiences on dealer websites: Trade, Payments, Offer, AutoBio, Value Watch and Service Offers. Each one gives shoppers a reason to take a real step, like valuing a trade, working out a payment or acting on an offer. Each step turns into a lead in your CRM.
Those experiences now work together, and they capture context along the way: what a shopper wants to trade, what they can afford, and what they’re trying to do. That context reaches your team with the lead, so the first conversation starts further along.
Protomiq is the name for all of it. The experiences still lead. The context they capture makes every lead more useful.
What you’ll see change
The visible changes are branding only. Where our tools sit on your site, what they do and how shoppers use them stay the same.
| What | Before | After | When |
| Company Name | TradePending | Protomiq | Done ✅ |
| Your Dealer Portal | TPApp | Protomiq App Dealer Console | Done ✅ |
| Trade, Payments, & Offer | TradePending branding | Protomiq branding | Done ✅ |
| AutoBio, Badges, Value Watch, Service Offers and our mobile app | TradePending branding | Protomiq branding | December |
| Emails we send you | TradePending branding | Protomiq branding | December |
None of these need anything from you. Your website provider doesn’t need to do anything either; our tools update the same way they always have.
What’s changing behind the scenes
The lead emails your CRM receives will carry the Protomiq name instead of TradePending. That’s the main behind-the-scenes change, and we’ve built the process around keeping your leads flowing.
The name changes. The IDs don’t. Most CRMs recognize our leads by a provider ID and a source ID, not by our name. Those IDs stay exactly the same. The lead itself, including the shopper’s details, the vehicle and the trade information, is identical. Leads already in your CRM keep the name they arrived with.
We’re moving one CRM at a time. Your leads pass through systems we don’t control, so we’re not flipping a single switch for everyone. For each CRM, we:
- Work with the CRM provider to confirm what’s needed on their side.
- Test the change on a live dealer account.
- Move that CRM’s dealers on a scheduled date, and tell each dealer theirs ahead of time.
That’s why this takes a few months. We’d rather it be uneventful than fast. Nothing about the change requires lead delivery to pause.
What isn’t changing
Most of what matters to your dealership stays exactly where it is:
- Your agreement, pricing and billing
- Your account team and support contacts
- How our tools work and what they do on your website
- Your lead history and reporting history
- The provider and source IDs on your leads
- API endpoint paths and keys, if your team built a direct integration
Do you need to do anything?
For most dealers, no. Two situations call for a few minutes of attention.
If your CRM only accepts leads from approved senders. The address our leads are sent from may change, so it will need to be added to your approved list. You don’t have to work out whether this applies to you. If it does, we’ll contact you before your CRM’s date with exact steps for your platform.
If you have saved reports or lead routing rules that look for the name “TradePending.” Add “Protomiq” alongside it before your CRM’s date. Keep both, so reports that span the change show a continuous picture. Rules built on our provider or source ID don’t need any change. Routing rules are the ones worth checking, since a rule that misses the new name can leave leads unassigned.
If you use a custom Google Analytics dashboard with our data, there’s nothing to do today. We’ll notify you before anything changes there.
Whoever runs your CRM is usually the right person for this, often a BDC manager or internal IT contact. It isn’t a website change, so your web provider typically isn’t involved.
FAQ
About the Change
We changed our name to Protomiq. Over the past few
years we brought several products and teams together, and the old name only ever
described one of them. Protomiq is the name for all of it.
No. Protomiq is the name TradePending, Inc. now does business under. It’s the same legal company, with the same team behind it.
Yes, it’s still valid, and no, there’s nothing to sign. Your agreement is with the same legal company and
continues unchanged.
No. Your pricing, billing schedule and invoicing stay the same
No. You’ll keep working with the same people.
No. Features, settings and how they behave on your website stay the same. Only the branding changes, plus a few technical details behind the scenes.
Because we want it to be uneventful, not fast. Your leads pass through systems we don’t control, especially your CRM. So we work with each CRM provider, test on a live dealer account, and only then move that CRM’s dealers.
They’re all part of Protomiq. If a product you use is being renamed, we’ll tell you directly.
Your Leads
Yes. We built the whole process around that. Each CRM’s change is tested on a live dealer account before it reaches anyone else, and the IDs your CRM uses to recognise our leads don’t change.
We don’t expect one. Nothing about the change requires lead delivery to stop. If your leads ever look like they’ve slowed down, contact us right away.
No. Each lead is sent once, under the Protomiq name.
Two things, both cosmetic on your side. The name on the lead changes from TradePending to Protomiq, and the address it’s sent from may change. The provider and source IDs stay the same. The lead itself, including the customer’s details, the vehicle and the trade information, is identical.
Usually not. Some CRMs only accept leads from approved senders. If yours is one of them, our new sending address needs to be added. We’ll tell you if that applies, with exact steps.
On a date set for your CRM. We’ll contact you before it, so you don’t need to track a schedule.
We don’t move a CRM’s dealers until we’ve confirmed that CRM is ready. If yours needs more time, your dealership stays as it is until it’s ready, and we’ll keep you informed.
No. Leads already in your CRM keep the name they arrived with. Only new leads show Protomiq.
Your saved reports and lead routing
Only if they filter on the name rather than our provider or source ID. A report that filters on the name will stop counting new leads after your CRM’s date. Leads are still arriving; the report just can’t see them. Add “Protomiq” to the filter to fix it.
If your rule uses our provider or source ID, yes. If it looks for the name “TradePending,” add “Protomiq” before your date. Otherwise new leads could end up unassigned, not just uncounted. This is the one worth checking.
We suggest including both. Your existing leads keep the old name, and reports that span the change will show a continuous picture.
Anything filtered on our name: saved searches, saved reports, dashboards, automated lead assignment, follow-up sequences triggered by source, and lead-volume alerts.
We can’t see inside your CRM, so we can’t check your saved reports for you. We will send the exact old and new values, plus a short guide for your CRM.
Your saved reports and lead routing
The branding updates in December: our name and logo, where they appear. Placement, features and how customers use the tools stay the same.
No. Our tools update the same way they always do.
No. We’ve kept the technical hooks your styling relies on. If anything looks different, tell us. That would be a bug.
No. Nothing about this requires downtime on your site.
No. Old addresses take you to the new ones automatically.
Your reporting and analytics
Nothing today. Later, the source name will change from TradePending to Protomiq. We’ll notify you with
before-and-after values for each product first.
No. Your history stays where it is.
No. Service Offers and FixedOps values stay the same. We’ll confirm the rest, product by product, before anything changes.
Your OEM Program
No. The OEM programs we’ve confirmed with don’t require re-registration. They recognise us by our source ID, which isn’t changing.
The source ID your program uses stays the same, and only the name on the lead changes. If your program reports on our name, we’ll work with them directly.
Integrations, contracts and compliance
Nothing today. Endpoint paths and keys aren’t changing. If anything changes for your integration, we’ll
contact your technical contact directly, with timing.
No.
You don’t need to change them. TradePending, Inc. is still our legal name. We’ll send a short letter
confirming Protomiq is our DBA that you can attach to your file.
Those stay issued to TradePending, Inc., since the legal entity hasn’t changed. On request, we’ll send the DBA letter alongside them.
No. The same protections, processes and commitments apply.
We’ll be in touch
You don’t need to track a schedule. Before your CRM’s date, we’ll contact you directly with the details for your platform, not a general announcement. If you’d like that sent to a specific person at your store, let your account team know.
Questions in the meantime? Reach out to the same account team and support contacts you work with today.
